(Nakshatras Garden) (Rashi Van)

Punit Van is a botanical garden located in Sector 19 in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat in India. It was developed in 2005 by the forest department of the Government of Gujarat.

- Gandhinagar Is The Capital City Of Gujarat State And Very Important City Of Western India. Gandhinagar Has Its Name From The Great Indian Freedom Fighter Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhinagar Located In Peaceful Surrounding With Green Environment, The Posh Area Of Sector-19.

The uneven ground , the tall trees , the dense foliage gives the forest trek experience within the city . It is really a treat for avid walkers who can't travel far to enjoy all this . It is definitely a fantastic facility created by the Gandhinagar Forest department and I thank them for the same . They could , however provide some lights in the inside so that the latecomers can also avail of the benefits .

- This is a beautifully designed garden in the capital city of Gujarat. It has plants and trees planted according to the type suitable for the Nakshatras. So there is a nakshatra garden and a separate Rashi garden planted with varieties of fruit trees and flowering plants. In the middle there are huge manicured lawns surrounded by a jogging track. One side of this garden opens out to the woods where the foliage is controlled enough but looks as if it is growing naturally. It is a very peaceful place right in the middle of the city in Sector19 .

The forest side of the garden has deer and langurs. Occasionally a nilgai slips into the area from the adjoining forest bordering the city. Birds are to be found in plenty and their song breaks the almost church-like hush of the place.

- It's public park to walk in morning for elders as well as children. Best time is early morning and late evening. It's much needed in today's hectic world

- Refreshing Morning

Puneet Van is an excellent place for morning walk and jogging. There are 2 different tracks. The longer one is like walking in a forest, the track has all Neem trees both the sides. In between there is a beautiful lotus pond with fountains. Amazing place to absorb the fresh air and enjoy the beauty of nature.

This is a beautiful and small garden usually used for morning exercises and jogging. There is a Lotus pond as well in the garden witch adds to the beauty of this place. If you are looking to get some fresh air with peace, then you can visit this place. Beware of mosquitoes during monsoon.

Nice place with close to nature. A good walkway & garden for children to play around. Best time to visit is early morning to experience the nature & peaceful environment.

- The entire garden has four division, namely the Nakshatra Van, Rashi Van, Navgraha Van, Rashi Van and Panchvati van. There is a long stretch of paved road, which the visitors use to walk or order forms of execise. There are several benches, which the visitors can use to relax or just sit around and watch the activities going on in the park.
